Details
The SSI Scuba Skills Update is designed for divers who want to refresh their knowledge and rebuild confidence before returning to the water. It's a focused, low-pressure way to review the essential scuba concepts and in-water skills you learned in the Open Water Diver class.
This class is especially useful if it's been a while since your last dive, if you are preparing for a dive trip, or if you simply want a professional tune-up before joining local dives again. Students review key safety concepts, equipment handling, communication, buoyancy, mask and regulator skills, and emergency procedures.
Training is typically completed in a pool with an SSI Professional, giving you time to practice without the pressure of an open water dive. Certified divers can use the session as a confidence-building refresher, while eligible Open Water Diver students may use it to reinforce skills before open water training dives.
Upon completion, your SSI training record can reflect completion of the Scuba Skills Update program.
