SDI SOLO DIVER COURSE
High Sierra Divers has always gone the extra mile in teaching, our theory being that a thorough, more comprehensive course makes better divers and instructors.
This is a performance - based course designed to train advanced divers how to dive by themselves.
The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving solo.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be certified as a SDI Solo Diver. Graduates may engage in solo diving activities.
Prerequisites:
- Must be 21 years old.
- Candidates must be certified as Advanced Open Water Diver.
- Have a current medical examination and a complete Medical Diving Release.
- Have a minimum of 100 logged dives.
Required Equipment:
- Mask, fins & snorkel
- BC with low-pressure power inflator
- Regulator with submersible pressure gauge or air integrated hoseless computer.
- Redundant air source ( Pony bottle, twin cylinders w/isolation, independent doubles.
- Weight system
- Personal dive computer
- Exposure suit adequate for the training conditions.
- Compressed air cylinder
- Compass
- Knife
- Surface audible signaling device.
- Visual rescue signal

- Cost is $ 150.00 plus boat fees.
- 2 evenings of lectures
- One day shore diving
