TDI NITROX DIVER COURSE
Mother Nature provided the planet with a NITROX atmosphere known as air. She never said that air was the best breathing medium for divers. Here, as in many other fields of endeavor, human beings have used their knowledge of natural laws to go one step beyond what Nature has provided for them. - J. Morgan Wells, Ph.D.
The latest technology in diving today is surely Nitrox Diving. Although Nitrox Diving is not new to the dive industry, recreational divers have only been using Nitrox since the late 1980's. Why do you want to dive with Nitrox? The answer is simple; Nitrox has a higher level of oxygen, which allows for longer bottom times. Nitrox diving also warmer, less strenuous and you will use less air.
This is the entry level certification course for recreational divers wishing to utilize enriched air Nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas.
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in diving activities utilizing EAN 22 to EAN 40 without direct supervision. Graduates are qualified to enroll in the Advanced Nitrox Upgrade class.

History of Nitrox
O2 and the diver
Mix applications
