Sporty
| Snorkeling |
If you do not fancy ‘discovering scuba’ but still want to get wet as well as seeing marine life, then all you have to do is see a member of our dive staff to sign up on a snorkelling trip. Not sure or confident with snorkeling? We’ll teach you basic snorkeling at no time at all. We have lots of spots where nowhere else can see the same marine life as on the dives - but from the surface.

| Banana Boat Riding |
Here’s where the fun really starts…. Our full sized five seat banana boat is pulled through the waves as easily as a sharp knife cutting through soft butter! How? By our twin engine speedboat, with 150 horse power you are guaranteed to never forget this exciting sport. |

|
| Kayaking |
Of course not as fast as banana boat riding but can be equally exciting. A simple ‘sign up’ at reception and you can be cutting the waves within minutes. |

Negros Oriental is not only blessed with beautiful beaches and mountains, but with awesome caves that are a must to see!
There are dozens of caves in Mabinay, but only four have so far been developed. All four are just 1 to 5 kilometers from Mountain Valley Village.
While exploring the caves with us, you will:
Trek through an enchanting terrain and see beautiful and exotic wild plants and birds and have an amazing caving experience deep down under the jungle.

| Malatapay Market |
Drive 20 minutes south and you are in Malatapay, home of the only open-air market in Negros. Experience the traditional Philippine "barter" system. The locals from Apo Island and the surrounding mountains eagerly trade livestock, fish, exotic fruits, strange vegetables and household items. Sample some lechon baboy (roast pork) and a cold San Miguel beer while sitting on the beach. The market operates on Wednesdays. |

| Casaroro Waterfalls |
We first take an exciting 4x4 ride up into the mountains to the west of Valencia. At the end of the road, we will hike for 60 minutes to reach the highest waterfall in Negros. The water plummets 40 meters into a "Jurassic Park-like" grotto. You can freshen up with a brisk swim in the cool mountain water. This is a truly unique place and we strongly recommend you take the time to experience its beauty. |

| Twin Lakes |
Balinsasayao and Danao Twin Lakes, are a haven of pristine flora and fauna. There are two routes to the Twin Lakes that are accessible only with 4X4 vehicles and dirt bikes. On the way, you’ll be greeted by the accommodating natives, who are active and instrumental in protecting the lake against exploitation.
While here, you can go kayaking on the clear waters. As you paddle quietly around the sparkling lake, you’ll see and hear many wild birds; go fishing with lines and hooks for tilapia and carp in the lake and mountain climbing to get an aerial view of the Twin Lakes, which are only separated by a narrow ridge. In these surrounding forests you’ll see rare flowers, orchids, and birds; stay overnight – either in the cottage or in tents.

Island Hopping
| Island & Beach Hopping |
Apo Island - is one of the undiscovered wonders of the Philippines and boasts internationally acclaimed dive sites. There are ongoing and extensive environmental protection programs, started in the 80’s, that ensure the survival of fish stocks, reefs and areas like the Marine Sanctuary.
Sumilon Island - situated off the southeast coast of Cebu Island, this tiny uninhabited island was until 10 years ago a marine sanctuary. Because of its location, it is exposed to strong currents and adverse sea conditions.
Liloan - Is on the southeast end of Cebu Island. This is a very small village where the banca ferry boats from Dumaguete dock. From there you can take an airconditioned van to Cebu City.
Balicasag - This island is located off the southwest coast of Bohol Island. There are over 440 meters of successfully protected Marine Sanctuary reef. Strong currents and extreme drop offs make this an ideal home for pelagic visitors. Balicasag Island is under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Navy and the old lighthouse, built in 1907, was constructed by the Americans.
