LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE

As symbolized in SSI's Diver Diamond, experience is a crucial factor in becoming a comfortable, competent diver. SSI is the only agency that offers divers a way to measure their experience and provide goals to aim for. Because diving often becomes a lifetime of adventure, SSI's ten Levels of Experience start at five dives and culminate with 5,000 dives. Your SSI Authorized Dealer can upgrade your certification card and DiveLog every time you reach a new level. Then when you go diving and show your certification card, you will get the recognition that a diver with your experience so richly deserves.

LEVELS OF RECOGNIZATION

A small, but very special group of divers around the world have the privilege to carry the SSI Platinum Pro 5000 Diver Card--the highest recognition level in the diving industry. This group is comprised of the "who's who" of the diving world; the most renowned scientists, manufacturers, instructors, retailers and resort operators--diving's ambassadors. The SSI Levels of Recognition symbolize excellence, commitment and loyalty in diving. A Level 5 Diver with 100 dives is eligible for the Century Diver recognition card. The Gold 500 Diver is a Level 9 Diver with 500 recorded dives. The Platinum 1000 Diver has reached level 10 and the 1,000 dive mark. And the highest honor, the Platinum Pro 5000 Diver, is reserved for divers that have reached the pro level and surpassed 5,000 dives.
